60 rue La Fontaine

La série "Hector Guimard" continue avec "l'hotel mezzara" au n° 60 de la rue La Fontaine.
Construit en 1910-1911 par Hector Guimard pour Paul Mezzara, un vénitien qui y vendait des tissus, l'hôtel fut vendu en 1930 à un cours privé puis en 1956 à l'Education Nationale qui le transforma en annexe de l'internat du foyer des lycéennes du 10 rue du Docteur Blanche; fonction qu'il occupe encore.

Hector Guimard builded this building located at number 60 of the rue La Fontaine in 1911, more than fifteen years after the first works that introduced the “Art Nouveau” style. The building was a command by a Venetian silk merchant. In 1930 the building became the property of a school and it belongs now to the Education Department which turned it to a boarding house.
